These days, the world provides infinite numbers of things to take us off-center, to rattle us, to cause upset. When those things happen to you, how do you get grounded?
Today’s conversation is about finding the sensation of grounding ~ in the external physical body and the internal feeling ~ and practice it. When the stakes are low and nothing in particular is happening, practice grounding. I do this in the morning, between activities, before a meal, while I’m driving.
And then, when something pushes your buttons, triggers you, pushes you off balance, you can have access to those sensations and get yourself grounded again.
And if you are a woman over 50 (or so) who is interested in exploring practices for embodied awareness in a changing body, life and world, please join us in The Age of Becoming Facebook group. It’s free and you can find out more about it here or go straight to the group here.
I will be starting to offer classes and workshops soon so now is the time to join us! In the meantime, I’d love to hear how you ground yourself and what grounded feels like for you.
Breathe deep. Shine bright. Show up.
